Dwarf Plains Coreopsis is a self-seeding annual that has good heat tolerance and prefers sandy well drained soil. While this specie has decent drought tolerance it is most often found growing naturally in areas that receive regular rainfall. A valuable North American native plant for providing first year colour in meadow mixes.
