An interesting looking annual that produces cup-shaped, 5-petalled pure white blossoms about 2.5 cm wide with each petal highlighted with a blue splotch on the tip – hence the name Five Spot! Flowers show up in profusion starting in late spring and continuing well into summer. This very fast growing plant prefers cooler weather and grows best in partial shade although it will perform well in direct sun in areas with a cooler summer. Five Spot is an introduced species that will sometimes self seed if the seed falls on bare ground. Height 20-30 cm.
