Plants grow to 90 cm in height and flower freely from early summer with shiny, flat, white silvery seed pods forming later on. The pods are a favourite for dried bouquets. This plant prefers noon hour shade and light mulching helps over-wintering evergreen rosettes survive the winter without damage. Flowers are fragrant, purple, pink or white appearing in clusters in late spring. Self seeds but not invasive. Biennial hardy to Zone 4.
