Outstanding red to scarlet flowers in June and July abound atop 75 to 90 cm (30-36”) plants. Wonderfully fragrant flowers and foliage are attractive to bees and butterflies and are extremely attractive to hummingbirds. Multi-stemmed plants enjoy full sun to partial shade but beware, too much shade can cause powdery mildew to ravage the plants.

Short-lived perennials (4 – 6 years) benefit from being lifted and divided every 3 years to help perpetuate. Usually blooms the second year after spring transplant.
