While not native to Canada, Catchfly has naturalized throughout much of North America. This hardy plant produces clusters of large, globe-shaped, deep rose-pink blooms on long stems. Very hardy in poor soils and performs well under extreme heat. Garden height averages 60 cm tall. This perennial makes a wonderful cut flower and while it is described as being hardy in Zones 3-8, in Zones 3-4, this plant is often grown as a self seeding annual.
